For those that don’t know me personally, I wanted to mention what my deal is. I’ve recently been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease.

Things People Go To
I should have blogged about this earlier when it was more relevant and timely. My bad.
Apparently people go to things called conventions and look at cool stuff and buy things and dress up.
Side-View Morph Sides and Corners
Side-view morphs are eventually headed to the mapper, and as I have time I’m still creating some on my iPad. Recently, I made a set of 2 edges and 2 top-side corners, and now I’m ready to share them.
Side-View Morphs 4 and 5
I can’t believe how late I was up last night working on these, but I’m proud of how they turned out.
The Great Mapper Rewrite
Since nearly the beginning of Dave’s Mapper, a vocal few had been requesting separate options for dungeons, caverns, and mixed maps. For the longest time, that was really not feasible. The original mapper code had been based on a single JavaScript array, then additional arrays for city tiles, edges, and corners. It was a fine system for a bunch of tiles by one cartographer, but for this large-scale app it was beginning to be a major pain.
More Side-View Morphs
Alright, these really are kind of addictive to make. I don’t know if it’s just the fact that on my iPad I can tweak and erase and edit to my heart’s delight or the way that side-view allows for more detail than standard morphs, but somehow last night I ended up jamming out two new side-morphs that I’m proud enough to share.
Side-View Morphs
Around the time I had to take a break from mapper work, a new mapping phenomenon started: side-view morphs. Side-view morphs are basically dungeon/cavern geomorphs that use the side-view seen in various maps rather than the top-down approach we’ve all come to use.
Welcome to the Blog
I decided to build a blog here on the site where I can do all sorts of fun stuff.
Even though I’ve never really role-played before, the role-playing community has welcomed me with open arms since I first created the mapper as a branch off of Rob Lang’s mapper. Now I find myself enjoying the art of map-making and working on a variety of gaming resources for everyone to use.
Things I plan to post here include some of my tiles and mapping work (so others can find it easily without scraping the mapper itself), changelogs and whatnot about the mapper, information on other role-playing related projects (e.g. DungeonMorph dice), and anything else I can think of that might be of interest to the role-playing community. If these things appeal to you, by all means bookmark this blog, add it to StumbleUpon, subscribe by RSS, print out pages and tape them to your bedroom walls, or whatever you want to do. I’m just happy to have you as a visitor.
